Hello, I am Sarah Manning and I teach music at Davisburg and Rose Pioneer Elementary. I have been teaching music in the Holly Area Schools for fifteen years. Music is taught using the Orff approach to music learning. I love sing, dancing, playing and moving with students everyday.
There are many special music events planned at Davisburg and Rose Pioneer Elementary for the year. We will have sing-a-longs, field trips to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, family music days and a few music programs. Look for information about these special events in notes home and on the music classroom website.
I have a bachelor of music degree in music performance from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. I received my music education certification and completed graduate work at The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. I have a master of music degree in music education from Wayne State University.
My husband and I moved to Michigan from Missouri ten years ago and we're proud to call Michigan our home. We live in Brighton with our 9 year old daughter Campbell. I enjoy spending time with family, yoga, running and playing clarinet in the Livingston County Concert Band.
